A short, melancholic point-and-click adventure

Hope is a short indie point-and-click adventure game. It tells the story of a boy who wakes up unsure of who he is, and a girl he sees.

This futuristic adventure is very short, but has an unusual atmosphere, and some puzzles that will get you scratching your head. The graphics have a nice hand-drawn feel to them, although they look very much like they've come from the Nineties.

There is little explanation of anything in Hope - if you're up to speed with point-and-click adventures this won't be a problem, but newcomers may feel lost. You interact with objects by clicking on them, moving the cursor to the top drops down a menu where you can save your progress and see/use any objects you have collected.

Hope doesn't do anything new with the genre, and there is one particular puzzle which has a bizarre solution. The short story, too, is hardly original. Nevertheless, it's done with some charm, and the soundtrack is very relaxing!

A short and sweet adventure set in a scary futuristic world, Hope will be enjoyed by sci-fi fans and adventure fans alike.

PROS

  • Sound and graphics are well made
  • Atmospheric

CONS

  • Very short
  • There's a nonsensical puzzle!
